I turned to Judith Meyer's methodology after having lived in Athens for 3 months last year and failing to even learn a fraction of the Greek alphabet via various online resources. I only wish that I had read this book before my time spent there! Very quickly without even realising it I could easily recognise the once so foreign symbols and could even start to pronounce the Greek text that I was reading.
